![]() ![]() Short answer = no - editing is an added feature & not what these converters are designed for. Cut editing is easier technically speaking, since cuts & joins are only performed at key frames, and while it's probably possible using the ffmpeg these converters are based on, it's difficult & iffy, using scripts written for the specific task. To perform so-called "Smart Rendering", the software used must fully understand & be able to duplicate the original encoding method & settings, which often means an app will only smart render video that it's encoded itself. #HOWTO GET A FULL VERSION OF IDEALSHARE VIDEOGO 6 FOR MAC SOFTWARE# The video in between key frames must be generated - a key frame has a complete image, while the in between frames only record what's changed since the key frame. Generating those in between frames isn't hard, but, if you're going to cut or join video segments anywhere besides at key frames, that small portion of the videos will have to be re-encoded, so the in between frames match the new video. ![]() That's not a big deal for a video converter, since everything will be re-encoded anyway, but to smart render, that small, re-encoded patch & all video segments Must have matching encoding methods and settings.Jim C, ever tried VSDC video editor? even the free edition reveals what a toy "editor" this is! So many things you just could never do with this are freely accessible in VSDC like a timeline where you can apply effects over a timeline on selected frames use colour keying and have multiple videos on screen at once like is done on TV where presenters are presenting from home using smartphones and two or three presenters can be placed side by side and synced up. #HOWTO GET A FULL VERSION OF IDEALSHARE VIDEOGO 6 FOR MAC PATCH# ![]() Basically FFMPEG.EXE does ALL the editing and conversion the program is just a GUI to help generate the FFMPEG.EXE command line and monitor the child threads progress. Of course not it's not, it's not a serious Video editor! Even the version of FFMPEG.EXE it uses is ancient. not sure why lot's of comments go on about needing additional installed codecs since it uses ffplay_dll.dll and the FFMPEG DLLs when rendering videos not external LAVfilters or the like. It is NOT a video editor but an FFMPEG video converter GUI with rudimentary editing tabbed wizards which then are compiled into ffmpeg.exe command line parameters when you finally ask it to convert the input videos. #HOWTO GET A FULL VERSION OF IDEALSHARE VIDEOGO 6 FOR MAC TV#.#HOWTO GET A FULL VERSION OF IDEALSHARE VIDEOGO 6 FOR MAC SOFTWARE#.#HOWTO GET A FULL VERSION OF IDEALSHARE VIDEOGO 6 FOR MAC PATCH#.
